41. (Repealed).

41. Except in the case of section 39, section 28 applies to a participant who ceases to hold office as a member of the council through an amalgamation or annexation.
Section 29 applies to such person if he again becomes a member of the council of the municipality of which he was member or of the new municipality resulting from the amalgamation or, as the case may be, of the annexing municipality, provided that the new municipality or the annexing municipality has joined the general plan.
