39. The pension of a teacher who retired in 1966 or who retired by reason of physical or mental disability before 1 January 1970 is not reduced as provided in section 38.

39. The pension, widow’s or widower’s pension, deferred pension, other benefits payable under this act and reimbursements shall be neither transferable nor subject to seizure.
