6.1. Persons having responsibilities towards a child under this Act and persons called upon to make decisions with respect to a child under this Act shall, in their interventions, take into account the necessity(a) of ensuring that any information or explanation that must be given to a child within the framework of this Act is given in terms that are adapted to his age and his capacity of understanding;
(b) of ensuring that the parents have understood the information or explanations that must be given to them within the framework of this Act; and
(c) of giving the child and the child’s parents an opportunity to present their points of view, express their concerns and be heard at the appropriate time during the intervention.
