30. The Régie des rentes du Québec, referred to as the Board, is responsible for the administration of this Act. For the purposes of its administration it shall, in addition to powers granted by this Act, exercise its powers under the Act respecting the Québec Pension Plan (chapter R‐9) as necessary, including its power of inquiry under section 30 of that Act.

In exercising its functions, the Board may, in addition,
(1) conduct or commission studies and research, and make recommendations to the Minister concerning any matter relating to this Act;
(2) perform any task assigned to it by the Government.
