Every person required to make a deposit of records who refuses or neglects to do so shall be liable to a fine of $25 for each day’s delay, counting from the expiration of the delay during which the deposit is required to be made. If the person in default is a notary, he shall also be liable to the disciplinary penalties prescribed by the Professional Code.
