(1) Every one commits an offence, in this act called undue influence, who, directly or indirectly, by himself or by another on his behalf(a) uses or threatens to use force, violence or restraint, or inflicts or threatens to inflict, by himself or by another, any injury, damage, harm or loss, or in any manner practises intimidation, in order to induce or compel any person to vote or refrain from voting, or because such person has voted or refrained from voting at an election; or
(b) by abduction, duress or any fraudulent device or contrivance, impedes, prevents or interferes with the free exercise of the right of an elector to vote at an election; or
(c) by the same means compels, induces or prevails upon any elector to vote or refrain from voting at an election.
