If opposition be made to the payment of the proceeds of the sale, the bailiff shall pay over the moneys in his hands, after deduction of the costs of seizure and sale, to the secretary-treasurer, who shall receive the same on deposit, and make a return of all his proceedings respecting the seizure and sale, to the court mentioned in the opposition.
The opposition shall afterwards be contested, heard and decided according to the rules of procedure governing oppositions for payment before the court before which it is brought.
The proceeds of the sale shall be distributed by the court, and paid by the secretary-treasurer according to its order.
