261. Every school board shall, in assigning personnel to its schools, vocational training centres and adult education centres, take into account the staffing requirements submitted to it by the school principals and the principals of the centres, and the applicable collective agreements.
Every school board shall ensure that any person it hires to provide preschool education services or to teach at the elementary or secondary level holds a teaching licence issued by the Minister, except in cases where such a licence is not required.
It shall also ensure that any person it assigns to Catholic pastoral care and guidance or Protestant religious care and guidance meets the qualification requirements established by the Catholic or Protestant committee, as the case may be.
