8. Any person who is the owner, tenant or manager of a commercial establishment and who admits a customer or tolerates his presence there contrary to this act is guilty of an offence and shall be liable, upon summary proceeding, in addition to costs, to a fine of not more than $1,000.
Any person other than the manager who is employed in a commercial establishment and who admits a customer or tolerates his presence there contrary to this act is guilty of an offence and shall be liable, upon summary proceeding, in addition to costs, to a fine of not more than $100.
Any person who is the owner, tenant or manager of an establishment where an offence contemplated in the preceding paragraph was committed shall be liable, upon summary proceeding, even if he did not participate in the offence, in addition to costs, to a fine of not more than $1,000.
For the purposes of the preceding paragraphs, the person who acts as the manager of an establishment shall be deemed the manager.
Part II of the Summary Convictions Act shall apply.
