The inobservance of a formality prescribed in this Act does not invalidate an act, unless the inobservance causes a serious prejudice or unless the effect of the inobservance is provided by law, and particularly, if it is prescribed that the formality must be complied with under penalty of absolute nullity or rejection of the act.
