36.7. Whoever(1) hinders or attempts to hinder the Commission, refuses to provide information or a document that he or she must send or refuses to make it available, or conceals or destroys a document likely to be useful for an inquiry;
(2) by an act or omission, helps a person to commit an offence under subparagraph 1; or
(3) by encouragement, advice or consent or by an authorization or order, induces another person to commit an offence under subparagraph 1
is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine of $5,000 to $30,000 in the case of a natural person and to a fine of $15,000 to $100,000 in other cases.
For any subsequent offence, the minimum and maximum fines prescribed in the first paragraph are doubled.
