36.6. Whoever(1) communicates information under section 20 that he or she knows to be false or misleading;
(2) contravenes section 36.2;
(3) by an act or omission, helps a person to commit an offence under subparagraph 1 or 2; or
(4) by encouragement, advice or consent or by an authorization or order, induces another person to commit an offence under subparagraph 1 or 2
is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine of $5,000 to $30,000 in the case of a natural person and $15,000 to $250,000 in all other cases.
For any subsequent offence, the minimum and maximum fines prescribed in the first paragraph are doubled.
