D-11.1 - Act to facilitate the disclosure of wrongdoings relating to public bodies

21. The person in charge of ethics and integrity is bound to confidentiality in exercising the functions of office and must, among other things, take the measures necessary to ensure that any information communicated to him or her remains confidential, including the identity of any person who contacts the person in charge of ethics and integrity to obtain information on the possibility of making a disclosure or on the protection against reprisals.

21. The designated officer is bound to confidentiality in exercising the functions of office and must, among other things, take the measures necessary to ensure that any information communicated to him or her, including the identity of the person who made the disclosure, remains confidential.
Despite sections 9, 83 and 89 of the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (chapter A-2.1), no one may have access to or rectify information communicated to the designated officer.
