42. The Public Curator shall continue his administration after the death of the person he represents or whose property he administers until he is notified, by registered mail, that the liquidator of the succession accepts his duties or, failing a liquidator of the succession, the heirs accept the succession. Failing notification of such acceptance within six months from the opening of the succession, the succession devolves on the State.
The Public Curator shall, where required, take any measures necessary for the interment or cremation of the body of the deceased person, at the expense of the succession and with respect for the religious principles of the deceased person.
