To claim benefits under a program, a person must apply to the authority responsible for the administration of the program, supply any information or document required by that authority for that purpose and allow the authority to examine the premises or property concerned as soon as practicable. The applicant must also inform the authority of any change in the applicant’s situation that may affect the applicant’s eligibility or the amount of the assistance or of the compensation granted under the program.
