2. The Minister must see to the conservation of wildlife.
For that purpose, conservation officers, functionaries or other employees are appointed and remunerated in accordance with the Civil Service Act (chapter F-3.1).
The conservation officers shall in particular see that the laws and regulations respecting wildlife are carried out and inform the public as to the provisions of these laws and regulations.

A Service de la conservation de la faune is established in the Ministère du tourisme, de la chasse et de la pêche; such Branch shall consist of the Director of Wild-life Conservation, the assistant directors and the conservation officers and such other functionaries and employees as are deemed necessary.
