967. In every case the auditor ad hoc must, at least five days before the date fixed for the audit, give special notice to the secretary-treasurer in conformity with this Code, or a written notice served upon him by a bailiff, who shall make a return of such service, calling upon such secretary-treasurer to attend and give all explanations and produce all documents that may be required of him.
If it be a question of the auditing of the accounts of a secretary-treasurer no longer in office, the secretary-treasurer in office must furnish to the auditor ad hoc, on application therefor, all papers, copies, books and documents that may be required.
