118. The head of the council is called “the warden.” He is chosen from among the members who compose the council, and must take the oath of office.
The council shall appoint, from among its members, a deputy warden who, when the warden is absent or the office is vacant, shall perform the duties of warden with every privilege, right and obligation attaching thereto.
