1108. Penal proceedings for an offence under a provision of this Code or of the municipal by-laws may be instituted by the municipality.

1108. Penal proceedings may be brought within one year from the date of commission of the offence, by a person of age in his own name, or by the corporation.

1108. Penal proceedings may be brought within three months by a person of age in his own name, or by the corporation.

1108. Every suit to recover any such fine must be begun within three months from the date when it was incurred, after which period the suit cannot be brought.
