70. Applications in family cases are taken before the court of the common domicile of the parties or, failing such a domicile, the domicile of either of the parties.
However, oppositions to marriage, applications for dispensation from an age requirement and applications for authorization for a minor or a person of full age under tutorship to make matrimonial agreements are taken before the court of the place where the marriage is to be solemnized or of the domicile of the minor or the person of full age under tutorship.
Lastly, applications in adoption cases are taken before the court of the domicile of the child or the plaintiff or, if the child has no domicile in Québec or if the adopters consent, before the court where the director of youth protection who was the last to have charge of the child exercises his functions.
