39. Where, by the application of sections 370 to 384, a vote is demanded, sections 385 to 396 apply, mutatismutandis.
Upon the approval of the by-law, the clerk or secretary-treasurer of the municipality where the territory which it is proposed to annex is located shall immediately so notify the council of the municipality seeking the annexation.
