126. (1) Services justifying extrajudicial fees shall include, among others, attendances, travelling, notices, written and oral consultations, the examination, preparation, drafting, dispatch or delivery of any document, proceeding or record, and generally all other services required of an advocate.
(2) The General Council, by by-law subject to the requirements of section 16, may establish, change and replace tariffs of extrajudicial fees.
(3) In the absence of such tariffs, or of an express agreement between the advocate and his client, an advocate shall be entitled to his extrajudicial costs on a basis of quantum meruit.
