83.1. For the purposes of this chapter,(1) “body” means a government department or body, except the committee on the remuneration of criminal and penal prosecuting attorneys, the committee on the remuneration of judges and justices of the peace and the Conseil de la magistrature;
(2) “institution” means
(a) a school service centre, a school board, the Comité de gestion de la taxe scolaire de l’Île de Montréal, a general and vocational college or a university institution listed in paragraphs 1 to 11 of section 1 of the Act respecting educational institutions at the university level (chapter E-14.1); or (b) a health and social services agency or a public institution governed by the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S-4.2); (3) “fee” means the consideration in money, set by a law, the Government, a minister or a body, to be paid for a particular public service or a set of public services delivered by a body or an institution in the course of its activities.
Consideration paid by the Government, a minister, a body or an institution is not a fee.
