328. Subject to this act and the regulations, any physical person at least eighteen years of age is entitled to a certificate on passing an examination which conforms to this act and the regulations.
This section shall not be set up against persons who on 20 October 1976 held agent’s licences issued under Division XV of the Insurance Act (Revised Statutes, 1964, chapter 295), replaced by chapter 70 of the statutes of 1974 or who had held them for at least twelve consecutive months during the three years preceding the above mentioned date, provided that during such latter period, their licences were not cancelled, for cause, by the Superintendent of Insurance.
This section shall not be set up against persons who hold a diploma or other proof of studies pertaining to the profession that is recognized by the regulations.
