Section 13 Disposition versions

13. This subdivision does not apply to a victim under 16 years of age or to a victim 16 years of age or over attending a secondary or post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis.

13. The Régie may replace the pension contemplated in section 26 or in section 43 by any periodic payment or by a lump sum representing the value of the indemnity in the following cases:

(a)  where the victim applies therefor and the Régie is of opinion that it is advisable to do so to promote his rehabilitation, or

(b)  where a victim is not resident or ceases to be resident in Québec; or

(c)  in the case of sums the maximum of which is prescribed.

Where a victim is not resident or ceases to be resident in Québec, the Régie may also pay a reimbursement benefit referred to in section 23 or 45 in a lump sum representing the value of the benefit.
