37. The Minister sends a map showing the location of those areas to the Native communities concerned and, if applicable, to the responsible bodies referred to in section 21.5 of the Act respecting the Ministère des Affaires municipales, des Régions et de l’Occupation du territoire (chapter M-22.1).

After the necessary consultations have been carried out, the Native communities and responsible bodies concerned propose to the Minister the areas, from among those referred to in section 38, in which they would like to see timber production given priority. These proposals are taken into account in the regional and local consultation process leading to the creation of integrated forest development plans.

37. The Minister sends a map showing the location of those areas to the regional conferences of elected officers, which will consult the regions, and to the Native communities concerned.

After the necessary consultations have been carried out, the regional conferences of elected officers and the Native communities concerned propose to the Minister the areas, from among those referred to in section 38, in which they would like to see timber production given priority. These proposals are taken into account in the regional and local consultation process leading to the creation of integrated forest development plans.
