35.If the Minister is of the opinion that the exercise of a right referred to in section 8 of the Mining Act (chapter M-13.1) or section 15 of the Act respecting natural gas storage and natural gas and oil pipelines (chapter S-34.1) within the boundaries of an exceptional forest ecosystem may have an adverse effect on the conservation of biological diversity, the Minister may order that all work cease and either enter with the holder of the right into an agreement providing for the abandonment or surrender of the right according to the procedure set out in those Acts, or expropriate the right in accordance with the Act respecting expropriation (chapter E-25).

35.If the Minister is of the opinion that the exercise of a mining right referred to in section 8 of the Mining Act (chapter M-13.1) within the boundaries of an exceptional forest ecosystem may have an adverse effect on the conservation of biological diversity, the Minister may order that all work cease and either enter into an agreement with the holder of the mining right providing for the abandonment of the right according to the procedure set out in that Act, or expropriate the right in accordance with the Expropriation Act (chapter E-24).
