9. A person who installs a tube well must ensure that the casing is new, at least 5.3 m long, has an inside diameter wider than 8 cm, rises above the ground surface by not less than 30 cm and bears one of the following compliance marks:
— ASTM Standard A 53/A 53M - 99b, if made of steel;
— ASTM Standard A 409/A 409M - 95a, if made of stainless steel; or
— ASTM Standard F 480 - 00, if made of plastic.
The owner must ensure that the casing is at least 30 cm high above the ground at all times.
