3.05.03. A social worker must safeguard his professional independence at all times and avoid any situation in which he would be in conflict of interest. Without restricting the generality of the foregoing, a social worker:(a) is in conflict of interest where the interests in question are such that he might tend to favour certain of them over those of his client or where his judgment and loyalty towards the latter are unfavourably affected;
(b) is not an objective adviser if he derives a direct or indirect, real or possible, personal benefit from any given act.
