29.0.1. An officer receives an allowance for critical care of 14% of the officer’s salary if the officer directly supervises a coronary unit and the following activity centres:(1) emergency room;
(2) intensive care;
(3) neonatal unit;
(4) burn unit.
As of 10 July 2016, an officer who directly supervises an activity centre, medical emergency intervention service of Québec, also receives an allowance for critical care of 14% of the officer’s salary.
As of 1 April 2017, an officer who holds an office of senior managerial advisor in nursing care to supervise the quality of the practice and whose usual powers of his office are exercised at more than 50% in a unit or activity centre referred to in the first or second paragraph receives an allowance for critical care of 14% of the officer’s salary. As of that same date, the officer who coordinates the unit’s or activity centre’s evening, night, weekend or statutory holiday activities referred to in the first or second paragraph receives 25% of that allowance.
The allowances are paid to the officer in the form of a lump sum in proportion to the time worked and according to the procedures of the employer’s pay system. A statutory holiday, a flexible leave, an annual leave and a personal leave are considered to be time worked.
