6.7.1. Horizontal bracing:(1) A horizontal bracing shall be placed horizontally in 2 directions at right angles to each post of any shoring when:(a) this post is 1.8 m high or more and is placed on the soil;
(b) this post is 3.5 m high or more and rests on a concrete slab.
(2) The horizontal bracing shall be placed:(a) as close as possible to the mid-height of the posts unless another point of buckling is indicated by the calculations; and
(b) when posts are 5.5 m long or more, at heights not exceeding 2.7 m between this bracing and:i. the bottom or the top of the post; or
ii. another bracing on the same post.
(3) The bracing required in subsection 1 may be omitted if the engineer who drew up the calculations of the concrete shoring plan indicates on the plan he submits that it is not necessary.
