2. For the purposes of this Code, unless the context indicates otherwise,(1) “institution” means an institution within the meaning of the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S-4.2) or the Act respecting health services and social services for Cree Native persons (chapter S-5); (2) “organization” means a professional partnership and a structured entity, including a partnership or joint-stock company, a legal person or a group of persons, whose activities are related to the practice of optometry;
(3) “ophthalmic product” means an ophthalmic lens, glass frames, medication or any other product that an optometrist may recommend, prescribe, administer or sell to a patient as part of the practice of optometry;
(4) “optometric service” means any act performed by an optometrist as part of the practice of optometry;
(5) “professional partnership” means a general or undeclared partnership that complies with sections 2 and 3 of the Règlement sur l'exercice de la profession d'optométriste en société (chapter O-7, r. 8) to constitute a limited liability partnership, and any partnership or joint-stock company constituted in accordance with that Regulation.
