18.2. For students in elementary school and students in the first cycle of secondary school, the school calendar must consist of at least 720 hours devoted to the instruction of the compulsory subjects provided for in section 22 or 23, as the case may be.
For students in the second cycle of secondary school, the calendar must consist of at least 648 hours devoted to the instruction of the subjects provided for in section 23.1 and the elective subjects appearing on the list drawn up by the Minister under the Act.

18.2. For students in elementary school and students in the first cycle of secondary school, the school calendar must consist of at least 624 hours devoted to the instruction of the compulsory subjects provided for in section 22 or 23, as the case may be.
For students in the second cycle of secondary school, the calendar must consist of at least 562 hours devoted to the instruction of the subjects provided for in section 23.1 and the elective subjects appearing on the list drawn up by the Minister under the Act.

This section applies for the school year that began on 1 July 2023.
