22. Time period. A notice of appeal for an appeal by operation of law under the third paragraph of article 292 of the Code of Penal Procedure (chapter C-25.1) must be served and filed within 10 days after the judgment under appeal. The time period for serving and filing a motion for leave to appeal is that set out in article 296 of the Code of Penal Procedure.
