Act respecting the floral emblem
FLORAL EMBLEM

WHEREAS the white lily figures in heraldic form in the arms of the Province and on its official flag;
Whereas it is expedient that such flower, associated with the historic origins and traditions of Québec, be designated officially as the floral emblem of the Province;
Therefore, Her Majesty, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and of the Legislative Assembly of Québec, enacts as follows:

The white garden lily, known botanically as
lilium candidum
, is designated officially as the floral emblem of Québec.

REPEAL SCHEDULE
In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes, 1964, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed effective from the coming into force of chapter E-5 of the Revised Statutes.
