The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food may establish and maintain a dairy school, under the name of the École de laiterie de la province de Québec, and, at any place in Québec, intermediate agricultural schools. Such schools shall be under his control and direction.

The maintenance and direction of intermediate and regional agricultural schools are transferred from the control of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to that of the Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports; also, the Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports shall be entrusted with the implementation of this Act with respect to intermediate agricultural schools. The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food may make, amend or repeal regulations:
(
a
)
for appointing the teaching staff, among whom he shall choose a director, and for establishing the qualifications required for professors;
(
b
)
for determining the conditions of admission to such schools;
(
c
)
for establishing the course of study;
(
d
)
for establishing an examination system and appointing one or more examiners;
(
e
)
for authorizing the director to issue, upon the recommendation of the board of examiners, to any candidate who has succeeded in his examinations, a certificate of competency or diploma allowing the holder to be employed in any factory or industry in which such certificate of competency or diploma may be required.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food may purchase or lease land, and erect thereupon any buildings and additions required.

REPEAL SCHEDULE
In accordance with section 17 of the Act respecting the consolidation of the statutes (chapter R-3), chapter 117 of the Revised Statutes, 1964, in force on 31 December 1977, is repealed effective from the coming into force of chapter E-1 of the Revised Statutes.
