The energy efficiency specifications set out in Schedule 1 apply to the appliances to which they correspond and that are manufactured from the effective date indicated in respect of those specifications.

The references in this Regulation to test methods or energy efficiency specifications shall be interpreted as references to such methods or specifications as later amended by the designated certifying body, where such is the case.

The applicances listed in Schedule 1, excluding the appliance described in point 2, shall be provided with
(

)
a permanent label bearing an attestation of the tested energy efficiency of the appliance, issued by a certifying body; or
(
2
)
a permanent label, illustrated in Schedule 3, obtained from the Minister in the case provided for in section 6 of the Act respecting the energy efficiency of electrical or hydrocarbon-fuelled appliances (chapter E-1.2).

A person placing a label on an appliance shall affix it so that it is easily and readily seen without the need to remove any covering.
