Regulation respecting the Albanel-Mistassini-and-Waconichi-Lakes Wildlife Sanctuary
Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife

DIVISION I
ESTABLISHMENT AND TERRITORIAL DESCRIPTION
1. The territory described in Schedule 1, the plan of which appears in Schedule 2, is established as a wildlife sanctuary under the name Albanel-Mistassini-and-Waconichi-Lakes Wildlife Sanctuary.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
ALBANEL-MISTASSINI-AND-WACONICHI-LAKES WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
A territory containing 16,400 km2, situated in the townships of Saint-Lusson, Morisset, Dorval, Saint-simon, Saint-Pierre, Guyon, Péré, Budemont, McOuat, Joybert, La Vallière, Duquet, Gauvin, Plamondon, O’Sullivan, Richardson, Bignell, Duberger, Thibaudeau, Roy, McCorkill and in unorganized territory, in the electoral district of Ungava, the perimeter of which is described as follows:
Starting from a point located at the intersection of the dividing line between the townships of Thibaudeau and McCorkill and the 50º00′ parallel of latitude; thence, westerly, along the said 50º00′ parallel of latitude to the intersection with the 74º30′ meridian of longitude; thence, northerly, along the said 74º30′ meridian of longitude to the 50º15′ parallel of latitude; thence, easterly, along the 50º15′ parallel of latitude to the intersection with the height of land between the lac Mistassini basin and the basin of the Nottaway and Broadback rivers; thence, in a general northerly direction, along the said height of land between the lac Mistassini basin and the basin of the Nottoway and Broadback rivers to the intersection with the 51º00′ parallel of latitude; thence, westerly, along the 51º00′ parallel of latitude to the 75º00′ meridian of longitude; thence, northerly, along the 75º00′ meridian of longitude to the 52º00′ parallel of latitude; thence, easterly, along the 52º00′ parallel of latitude to the intersection with the height of land between the James Bay basin and the lac Saint-Jean basin; thence, in a general southwesterly direction, along the height of land between the James Bay basin and the lac Saint-Jean basin to the intersection with the division line of the townships of Thibaudeau and Bignell; thence, southerly, along the division line between the townships of Bignell and McCorkill on the one hand, and the township of Thibaudeau on the other, to the starting point.
This territory does not include Categories I and II lands as described in the Agreement concerning James Bay and Northern Québec.
