STATE CASINOS — RULES
Act respecting lotteries, publicity contests and amusement machines

State casinos may be open to the public every day, 24 hours a day.

To be admitted to a State casino, a person must be of full age. If requested, that person must attest to his age by means of a passport, an act of birth, a driver’s licence or an identity card.

Any person may be refused admission to a State casino for any of the following reasons:
(
1
)
because he has applied in writing to the director of the State casino to be so excluded for a period determined by him;
(
2
)
because his presence or behaviour is of such a nature as to disturb order, tranquility, or the activities of the State casino;
(
3
)
because he is under the influence of alcoholic beverages, drugs, hallucinogenic substances or narcotic or anaesthetic preparations, and his faculties or his motor coordination are obviously disturbed;
(
4
)
unless he is a member of the security staff authorized by the Société, or a member of a police force, because he has in his possession an offensive weapon such as a firearm or a knife.

A person may be expelled from a State casino if he does not respect the terms of paragraphs 2 to 4 of section 3, or sections 6 to 11.

Despite section 2, a minor is admitted into a State casino to cross its gaming halls if he is accompanied by a person of full age and is going to a business or a place incidental to the operation of the casino, such as a restaurant, a performance hall, a boutique or a washroom.

No one may enter the gaming areas of a State casino with a coat or a bag, such as a suitcase or hand luggage, except a handbag.
In these Rules, “gaming areas” means the spaces reserved for the games offered and for the activities directly related to the games within a State casino.

No one, unless authorized by the Société, may penetrate a security zone identified for the purpose by means of a fence, such as a rope, by the Société, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux or a member of the Sûreté du Québec.
In these Rules, “Société” means the Société des loteries du Québec, also known as “Loto-Québec”, or any of its subsidiaries.

The sale, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages are permitted solely outside the gaming areas of any State casino.

Only the gaming material offered by the Société may be used to play a game offered by a casino lottery system.

No one may change, alter or damage the gaming materials and machines in a State casino.

A person may use only a pencil and paper, for himself or for another, when he participates in a casino lottery system.
