FISHING LICENCES

The classes of fishing licences are as follows:
(
1
)
sport fishing licences for species other than Atlantic salmon:
(
a
)
resident 65 and over (yearly);
(
b
)
resident under 65 (yearly);
(
c
)
resident (3 consecutive days);
(
d
)
resident, with catch and release obligation (yearly);
(
e
)
non-resident (yearly);
(
f
)
non-resident (7 consecutive days) for areas 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 25;
(
g
)
non-resident (3 consecutive days);
(
h
)
non-resident (1 day);
(
i
)
non-resident, with catch and release obligation (yearly);
(

)
sport fishing licences for Atlantic salmon:
(
a
)
resident (yearly);
(
b
)
resident (1 day);
(
c
)
resident, with catch and release obligation (yearly);

The term of the licences provided for in subparagraphs
a

The term of the licences provided for in subparagraphs

of paragraph 2 of section 1 is 1 day.
The term of the licence provided for in subparagraph

To obtain a resident fishing licence, every person must be a resident at the time of the application.
To obtain a fishing licence for a resident 65 years of age or over, the resident must be at least 65 years of age and, for a fishing licence for a resident under 65 years of age, the resident must be under 65 years of age.

To obtain a non-resident fishing licence, every person must be a non-resident at the time of the application.

II
OBLIGATIONS OF THE FISHING LICENCE HOLDER IN CERTAIN AREAS

To fish in the part of Area 19, the plan of which appears in Schedule CXCIX, and in parts of Area 22, the plans of which appear in Schedules CXCVI and CXCVII to the Regulation respecting hunting (chapter C-61.1, r. 12), all fishing licence holders must obtain a right of access pass at the place designated for that purpose. They must also, at the end of each daily fishing period or their stay, report at that place on the fishing activity, declaring their daily catches, if any.
The holders referred to in the first paragraph must comply with the dates and locations specified on the right of access pass.

Where a right of access is required under section 5 and there is no registration officer to issue it in the place designated for that purpose, the holder must complete the form available at the reception station for the territory concerned and deposit it at the place specified for that purpose.

The holder of a non-resident fishing licence must use the services of an outfitter to fish in the territory north of the 52nd parallel or in the southern part of Area 19, described in Schedule XIX to the Regulation respecting fishing and hunting areas (chapter C-61.1, r. 34), to the east of Rivière Saint-Augustin.
The holder of a resident fishing licence must use the services of an outfitter to fish for lake trout in Area 23 during the period from 8 to 30 September.

To fish in the parts of the Area 23 rivers referred to in sections 3, 30, 33 and 46 of Schedule 6 to the Quebec Fishery Regulations, 1990 (SOR/90-214) that are situated on Category III lands, the holder of a resident fishing licence must first register by indicating the planned fishing dates and places for the fishing trip at the place designated for that purpose.

The holder of a sport fishing licence for species other than Atlantic salmon with catch and release obligation, for a resident or a non-resident, must use the services of an outfitter to fish.

Every person who contravenes sections 3 to 9 commits an offence.
