6. The mediator has 60 days following the mediator’s appointment to bring the parties to an agreement. The minister responsible for the administration of the Labour Code (chapter C-27) may, only once and at the joint request of the parties or at the request of the mediator, extend the period of mediation by not more than 60 days.
The parties are required to attend all meetings to which the mediator convenes them.
