159. The decisions made by the Deputy Minister pursuant to sections 157 and 158 must be communicated to the proponent of the project and to the Cree Nation Government within 30 days following the receipt by the Deputy Minister of the preliminary information, unless the Deputy Minister decides that additional time is required to make these decisions or to permit the Evaluating Committee to formulate its recommendations. The Deputy Minister may take the advice of the Evaluating Committee before extending the time of 30 days.
The Cree Nation Government may take cognizance of any preliminary information provided by the proponent of a project as well as any recommendation of the Evaluating Committee.
