281. (1)  The deputy returning-officer shall then deliver the box to the returning-officer or to the election-clerk, who shall receive the same, or to one or more persons specialy authorized in writing for that purpose by the returning-officer.
(2)  Such person or persons, on delivering a ballot-box to the returning-officer, shall take the oath as in the form 62.
(3)  In a rural polling-subdivision, if it is absolutely impossible to deliver the ballot-box or to have it delivered by hand, but in such case only, the deputy returning-officer, after having packed and sealed it under his signature, shall forward it by mail as a registered or certified parcel.
