556. As soon as practicable after the certificate is drawn up, the clerk or the clerk-treasurer shall read it publicly to the persons present at the place where the sittings of the council of the municipality are held or at any other place determined by him.

The clerk or the secretary-treasurer shall inform the chief electoral officer, in writing, of the date of the reading of the certificate.
