48. The authorization granted to an independent candidate entitles him to solicit and collect contributions until the day preceding that of the polling. This authorization is valid only in the municipality mentioned in paragraph b of section 47.
After polling day, the authorization granted to the candidate entitles him to solicit and collect contributions only for the purpose of paying the debts arising from his election expenses incurred in accordance with this Act.

48. The authorization granted to an independent candidate entitles him to solicit and collect contributions only until the day preceding that of the polling. This authorization is valid only in the municipality mentioned in paragraph b of section 47.
After polling day, the authorization granted to an independent candidate entitles him to solicit and collect contributions for the sole purpose of paying debts arising from his electoral expenses incurred in accordance with this chapter.
