2991. A private writing giving rise to the registration of a right in or the removal of a right from the land register, or the reduction of an entry, must indicate the date and place it is drawn up and be accompanied by a certificate of a notary or advocate certifying that he has verified the identity, quality and capacity of the parties and the validity of the act as to form, and that the document represents the will expressed by the parties.

2991. An act in private writing requiring the registration of a right in or the removal of a right from the land register, or the reduction of an entry, must indicate the date and place it is drawn up and be accompanied with a certificate of a notary or advocate attesting that he has verified the identity, quality and capacity of the parties and the validity of the act as to form, and that the document represents the will expressed by the parties.

2991. The date and place of drafting shall be indicated in any act in private writing concerning the registration or cancellation of a right in the land register or the reduction of a registration; such an act shall be accompanied with a certificate of a notary or advocate attesting that he has verified the identity, quality and capacity of the parties and the validity of the act as to its form, that the document represents the will expressed by the parties and, where applicable, that the title of the grantor or last holder of the right concerned has been previously and validly published.
Where the act in private writing contains information other than that prescribed by regulation, the application for registration shall be made in summary form.
