2288. An heir or other legal representative of the depositary who, in good faith and unaware of the deposit, sells the property deposited, is bound only to return the price he has received or to assign his claim against the buyer if the price has not been paid.

2288. Where the heir or other legal representative of the depositary sells in good faith property deposited without his knowledge, he is bound only to return the price he has received or to assign his claim against the purchaser if the price has not been paid.
