15. Any oath required by this Code, may be taken before any judge, prothonotary, clerk of the Provincial Court, member of the council, secretary-treasurer, justice of the peace, commissioner of the Superior Court, or notary, within their respective territorial jurisdictions.
When the oath is received by a member of the council or by the secretary-treasurer, it may be received outside of the municipality, provided it be in a locality in which the council hall or the office of the corporation is situated.
