616. At the request of the Société, the members of the committee are entrusted with giving their opinion and making recommendations, according to their specialty, on the health standards required to drive a road vehicle, and with establishing criteria for determining the cases in which an examination or assessment is required.
The members of the committee are also entrusted with giving their opinion with respect to the application of the medical standards prescribed under paragraph 20 of section 618, exemptions from wearing a seat belt in accordance with section 398 and with respect to the state of health and physical fitness of an applicant for or holder of a licence.
