653. As soon as the council shall, by by-law, have established a Municipal Court, and a municipal judge shall have been appointed in the manner provided by this Act, no judge of the Court of Québec, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of that Court in respect of persons under 18 years of age, and no justice of the peace shall, as such, take cognizance of infringements of this Act, of the charter or of any of the by-laws of the council, unless the municipal judge refers the case to such a judge or to a justice of the peace.

653.
